This Privacy Policy explains how MyoPlan (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Owen Cairns, collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the MyoPlan mobile application and related services (the “Service”).
1. Who This Policy Applies To
This Policy applies to you, the therapist who uses MyoPlan. It also describes how we handle information about your clients that you enter into the Service.
2. Information We Collect
From You
- Account information: name, email, authentication credentials (via our identity provider).
- Profile information: experience, specialties, tools, typical clients, documentation preferences, practice notes, and practice information you provide during onboarding or in settings.
- Usage information: features you use, actions you take, timestamps, error logs.
- Device and technical information: device type, operating system, app version, IP address (for security), and related technical metadata.
From Your Clients (via You)
- Client records you create: names and contact details of clients you enter.
- Intake information: medical history, pain areas, goals, contraindications, and related information you record.
- Session content: voice recordings you make in-app, transcripts, plan content, aftercare, and SOAP notes.
Automatically
- Standard application logs for debugging, security, and abuse prevention.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide the Service: authenticate you, store your data, generate AI-assisted plans and aftercare, and return results.
- Improve the Service: debug issues, monitor performance, measure usage patterns.
- Personalize your experience: learn your documentation style and preferences to tailor output.
- Communicate with you: service updates, security notices, and support.
- Protect the Service: detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Comply with law: respond to legal requests and enforce our Terms.
4. AI Processing
AI-generated content is produced by sending relevant inputs (e.g. intake data, plan context, your preferences) to third-party AI providers. These providers process data only to return a result to you. We do not use Your Content to train public or foundation AI models.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service (authentication, cloud hosting, AI inference, speech-to-text, analytics, error monitoring), under contractual obligations to protect data.
- Legal authorities when required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent harm.
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to notice.
- With your consent for any other sharing.
6. Data Retention
We keep your account and profile data while your account is active. We may retain some information for a reasonable period after account closure for legal, security, and backup purposes. You may request deletion — see Section 9.
7. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest where feasible. No method is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for securing any devices where you access MyoPlan.
8. Your Client’s Information and HIPAA
MyoPlan is a general-purpose professional tool and is not marketed or intended as a HIPAA-compliant electronic health record. You are responsible for complying with any laws that apply to your handling of client information.
- If you are a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate and believe your use of MyoPlan would implicate HIPAA, you should consult with legal counsel before entering client information.
- We will provide information reasonably necessary for you to comply with your own legal obligations where feasible.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Export your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing

10. Cookies and Tracking
The mobile application itself does not use browser cookies. We may use in-app analytics and crash reporting to understand usage and fix issues. These tools collect technical and event data, not the content of your notes.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for licensed adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe we have, contact us at hello@myoplan.app.
12. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside that country, you consent to the transfer of information to the country where our servers are located.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
